The amenities the Rio Grande Club offers to owners and renters of The River Club are plentiful, giving you all the more reason to be a part of our lavish Townhome community.

Golf Course The focal point of the club is the exquisite 18-hole championship golf course, destined to be one of the best in Colorado. It features the Rio Grande River with a vertical rise of about 500 feet and spectacular views of the surrounding mountains and towns. The golf course is spread out over 240 acres, more than 50% more land than the typical 150-acre layout. The Rio Grande Club golf course has elevations ranging from 8,130 feet to 8,590 feet with the total length of the fairways at 7,200 yards and the longest par five is a massive 600 yards. The course has a very mature feel as many of the large trees remain on site.

Six of the holes meander around the Rio Grande, with the river coming into play laterally, as well as crossing. Six holes are in the meadows and provide transition between the Rio Grande and the Mountain holes. The mountain holes are carved into the rock and trees and provide dramatic views with a spectacular finishing hole with a several hundred feet elevation drop. The club has a first class training facility with a spacious driving range with target greens and bunkers.

Fishing Access The Rio Grande river is home to some of the best fishing in the state. The Club has private access to a 1 mile stretch of gold medal water along the Rio Grande river. This portion of river will be periodically stocked to enhance the first class fishing habitat. A 1,750 square foot fishing cabin provides river front access that will feature a lounge, card room, and outfitting center to service the fishing initiative.

Clubhouse The 25,000 square foot clubhouse features a spacious dining room with impressive mountain vista views, a comfortable and cozy lounge, conference and banquet rooms, business center, pro shop, and a spa with men's and women's locker rooms.

Dining Facilities With a true Colorado mountain lodge atmosphere, the Rio Grande Club provides an intimate dining experience at 8,500 ft. Surrounded by two million acres of National Forest, the views from the restaurant are indeed remarkable. Our four season facility offers fine dining inside our vaulted dining room along with the outside covered patio large enough to accommodate groups of all sizes. There is truly nothing like a well prepared meal in the Rockies among friends.

Big River Lounge The name comes from the mighty Rio Grande River that meandors through the golf course & home sites in the South Fork Ranches Residential Development. Our lounge is the premier gathering place to meet fellow members, entertain guests and serve as the arena to celebrate that career round. A wedge away from #18 green, enjoy a laugh or two watching your friend finish his (or her) round.

Conference & Banquet Rooms
Let the Rio Grande Club Event Coordinator assist you with that family gathering, class reunion, wedding, or corporate retreat. The Club's spacious conference & banquet rooms are sized to facilitate groups of all sizes.

Business Services
The Club offers access to the internet and provides a center for making copies, sending faxes, printing documents etc. The conference and banquet rooms will facilitate casual meetings, business conferences, and a variety of personal presentations.

Personal Pampering The Rio Grande Club offers a fitness facility with cardiovascular stations, circuit training and free weights. There is also a workout room with a wide variety of programs including yoga, aerobics and Tae Bo among other activities. An outside Jacuzzi is available for your enjoyment along with spacious men's and women's locker rooms.

The spa facility allows club members to experience the finest in moderns procedures including aroma therapy, hydro therapy, personal massages and steam rooms.

Outside Venues The outdoor patio includes a swimming pool with sitting area, spacious hot tub and an outside lounging area. Outside food service is also available for the pool area.

Tennis Courts The Rio Grande Club offers two tennis courts for the use of our members. Under the direction of our resident Tennis Professional, private lessons and challenge courts are available all season.
